To use the Quintic v17 Video Analysis Software you will need a personal computer and a digital video camcorder of which there are many types... Mini DV Camera, Scan Disk Camera (SD), Hard Disk Device Camera (HDD), High Definition (HD), Casio High-Speed or Basler high-speed LIVE camera. Quintic v17 has increased video format compatibility with the latest digital cameras available on the market, producing video file types such as: *.avi,*.mov,*.mpeg,*.wmv,*.mp4,*.flv,*.vob,*.swf…
To capture digital video files, your
personal computer will require a FireWire IEEE 1394 - port along
with a FireWire Cable. The FireWire cable transforms the digital signal from your digital
camcorder into a format which can be processed by your
computer.
The FireWire / USB2 connects the DV-out port
(Digital Video) from your digital camcorder to the external
port of your computer's FireWire port. Most computers come
with an inbuilt FireWire port and so all you will require
is a FireWire Cable. Sony VAIO Notebooks and Desktops,
Dell, Toshiba and Sharp Laptops are examples of computers
that come with FireWire ports. If your computer doesn't have a FireWire port, please see Quintic hardware for necessary plug in FireWire cards.
