THE BIOMECHANCIAL FACTS

The Longitudinal Stability Index – The longer a player’s centre of gravity can continue towards the target, the more energy is directed there – improving efficiency and accuracy. This measurement is referred to as the Longitudinal Stability Index (LSI).

THE RESULTS

The graph below plots the results of Padraig Harrington hitting a 5-iron under three different test conditions:
