from certain camcorders to computer...

4 to 4 pin, 4 to 6 pin, 6 to 6 pin connections available.
Normally a Camcorder and Laptop have 4 pin to 4 pin connection.
A Camcorder and a Desktop PC have a 4 pin to 6 pin connection.
High-Speed Camera requires a 6 pin to 6 pin connection (Laptop requires PCMCIA Card).
i.Link DV In/Out Interface
provides a high-speed, bi-directional digital link between
a camcorder and laptop. The i-Link interface is key to operation
of the Quintic Software. The single cable carries all video,
audio and frame information between the PC and the
camcorder.
